Con­tem­po­rary dance group per­form new work

A NEWLY-FORMED dance group is head­ing to Ten­ter­den. Verve, which is made up of grad­u­ates from the North­ern School of Con­tem­po­rary Dance in Leeds, will be per­form­ing at the town’s Sin­den Theatre as part of its in­au­gu­ral tour on Fri­day, May 18. The group, which has 11 mem­bers, will visit 18 venues across the UK and Europe. Au­di­ences are promised a pro­gramme of newly- com­mis­sioned and ex­ist­ing dance work cre­ated by lead­ing chore­og­ra­phers Rafael Bonachela, Fin Walker, Kim Brand­strup, Hofesh Shechter, Glenn Wilkin­son and Shobana Jeyas­ingh. The per­for­mance starts at 7.30pm and tick­ets cost £8, or £5 for mem­bers of dance schools, stu­dents and se­nior cit­i­zens.
