Woman taken to hospital with injuries
DESPITE the extensive damage to many properties, only one person was reported injured as a result of the quake.
A woman suffered slight neck and head injuries, which were not thought to be serious.
She was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
South East Coast Ambulance Service initially sent five ambulances and three officers to the Folkestone area after the first reports of the quake were received.
The service received a small number of calls to its control centre but there were no other reports of anyone needing hospital treatment.
