Positive staff help firm win award
CONSTRUCTION company Bluestone, which has offices in Station Road, Ashford, is celebrating after achieving an Investors In People award.
The national award recognises organisations that improve their performance through good management and development of their employees.
Area manager Danny Laing, pictured, said: “This award is a great tribute to the hard work by every member of staff and their efforts to drive our business forward.
“Thanks to the positive feedback from our employees, the assessors were impressed with our commitment to people and the processes in place to ensure they are communicated with and feel part of the business planning and decision-making process.
“They have also made suggestions as to how we can continue to improve our performance and we plan to implement these suggestions throughout the coming year.”
Key projects for Bluestone’s Ashford office include a £3.9 million extension to the Whitfield and Aspen School in Dover, an £800,000 extension to Monkton Primary School in Ramsgate, and a £350,000 extension to one of the oldest schools in England, Sedley’s Primary School in Southfleet.
