Health trust welcomes new chief
AN NHS chief will move south of the border to become chief executive of the East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust. Stuart Bain moves from NHS National Services Scotland, where he has been chief executive since 2002. Mr Bain has over 20 years’ experience at board level in the NHS.
He was previously chief executive of the Redbridge Healthcare NHS Trust and will take up the east Kent post this summer. Chairman of the Trust, George Jenkins, said: “Stuart’s experience and leadership in running a wide number of different healthcare organisations at chief executive level will be vital to help this trust realise its potential and continue to build upon its success.” Rupert Egginton will continue as acting chief executive until Mr Bain takes over.
