Fish die as vandals go on rampage
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following vandalism at a special school which caused the death of pet fish.
It is believed the offenders gained access to Wyvern Special school in Clockhouse, South Ashford, on Sunday afternoon by smashing a window, causing £100 worth of damage.
The glass of a fish tank was smashed, causing another £200 worth of damage and all the fish inside died.
Keys on the school piano, a cassette player and a toaster were also damaged in the raid.
Neighbourhood police officer PC Paul Morton said: “Nothing appears to have been stolen from the school. This looks like a case of malicious vandalism.”
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on Sunday afternoon is asked to contact PC Morton on 07980 684075.
