Cash grant for estate
ASHFORD’S Stanhope estate has been awarded a £150,900 Big Lottery Fund grant to help provide community services and activities over the next five years.
The cash goes to Stanhope REACT to help fund additional services for the elderly and leisure and educational opportunities aimed at helping young people to develop their skills and interests.
The news was greeted with enthusiasm by REACT chairman John Hopkinson.
He said: “This award is exciting news as it will enable us to employ a full-time development worker.”
