Runners step up help for charity

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

AFTER their son Alfie was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, chef Jim Wealands and his wife pledged to support the charity that helped them face the challenges. The couple from The Limes, in South Ashford, were given wholehearted support by CLAPA, the Cleft Lip and Palate Association, and now they have presented the group’s Kent representative Jackie Curd with £611. To raise the cash Jim and his friend Glenn Holiday were both sponsored to run in last year’s Ashford 10k race.
