Top traders at model railway show
A MODEL railway exhibition in Ashford this weekend will feature some of the best model railway layouts from across the South East.
Ashford Model Railway Club is holding its 27th exhibition at the Stour Centre in Tannery Lane on Saturday and Sunday.
More than 20 of the country’s top traders, including Picture Pride Displays, M&B Models and Euroscale Models, will be exhibiting.
All aspects of railway modelling will be covered, from baseboard construction and scenic materials to rolling stock, lineside detailing, kits, books and DVDs.
Club spokesman Mark Whitling said: “This is our third year at this venue, and we have consistently attracted more than 3,000 visitors.
The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday. Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions or £13 for a family.
