Top traders at model rail­way show

A MODEL rail­way ex­hi­bi­tion in Ash­ford this week­end will fea­ture some of the best model rail­way lay­outs from across the South East.

Ash­ford Model Rail­way Club is hold­ing its 27th ex­hi­bi­tion at the Stour Cen­tre in Tan­nery Lane on Satur­day and Sun­day.

More than 20 of the coun­try’s top traders, in­clud­ing Pic­ture Pride Dis­plays, M&B Mod­els and Euroscale Mod­els, will be ex­hibit­ing.

All as­pects of rail­way modelling will be cov­ered, from base­board con­struc­tion and scenic ma­te­ri­als to rolling stock, li­ne­side de­tail­ing, kits, books and DVDs.

Club spokesman Mark Whitling said: “This is our third year at this venue, and we have con­sis­tently at­tracted more than 3,000 vis­i­tors.

The ex­hi­bi­tion is open from 10am to 5pm on Satur­day and 10am to 4.30pm on Sun­day. Ad­mis­sion is £5 for adults, £3 for con­ces­sions or £13 for a fam­ily.
