Nominate a special teacher
DOES your teacher inspire you?
Do they go that extra mile to help you understand? Do they go out of their way to make lessons fun?
If so, why not enter them in the Kent Messenger Group’s Kent Teacher of the Year Awards 2007?
Any qualified teacher in Kent who is teaching children from Years R to 13 can be nominated.
The awards will be split into two categories: primary (Years R to 6) and senior (Years 7 to 13).
In Kent, there are 16,000 teachers working in 610 schools.
A panel of judges will select a winner in each category in each of the 15 local authority areas.
The overall winner will be chosen from the 30 local winners.
All the winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Ashford International Hotel on Tuesday, July 17.
Special awards will go to the Science Teacher of the Year and Kent’s top head teacher.
The awards are sponsored by Canterbury Christ Church University, Denne Construction, Pfizer, Kent County Council and the Kent Messenger Group.
Pupils, colleagues, friends and family can nominate teachers using the form on this page or online at www.kentonline.co.uk/ teacher
The closing date for nominations is Thursday, May 24.
