PEO­PLE who use hear­ing aids can get free help and ad­vice at a clinic in Bethers­den vil­lage hall. The clinic is run by Hi Kent, a char­ity which helps deaf peo­ple and peo­ple with hear­ing prob­lems, and was opened last Wed­nes­day. Peo­ple with NHS aids can drop in and get them cleaned and re-tubed and col­lect fresh bat­ter­ies for free. They can also get ad­vice and in­for­ma­tion about Hi Kent’s wide range of equip­ment, in­clud­ing spe­cial door en­try sys­tems, smoke alarms, tele­phones, con­ver­sa­tion aids and de­vices to help you lis­ten to the television.
