Meeting house completed
THE construction of a new £1.7 million meeting house in Ashford for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been completed.
Kent-based contractor Barwick Construction handed over the finished building in Bybrook Road to the church earlier this month.
The celebration on May 4 was attended by representatives from Barwick Construction, the architects Button Richardson, quantity surveyors King Sumners Partnership and church members.
The meeting house is a twostorey building that is traditionally built with a natural slate roof and a zinc clad spire.
The building also includes a large number of teaching rooms, a font and a sacrament room.
