Super trip in store for trainee manager
SHOPPERS were surprised to be greeted by a cowgirl as they arrived at Asda’s Ashford supermarket. It was trainee manager Nikki Diamond’s way of celebrating her selection for a dream company trip to the United States. Mum-of-three Nikki, from St Teresa’s Close, Ashford, whose husband is night manager of the Canterbury store, has been picked as one of the British delegation for the week-long trip to USA for the annual global meeting of Wal-Mart staff in Bentonville, Arkansas, at the end of the month. There she will be staying on the university campus and meeting the descendents of Sam Walton who started the small town shop that developed to become the shopping empire it now is.
