Search is on for top-class teachers
KENT’S teachers play a vital role in the development of our children and the creation of a vibrant economy. Geraldine Allinson, chairman of the Kent Messenger Group, said the teaching profession was critical to building a strong foundation for the community of Kent. Mrs Allinson will be joining a number of important Kent organisations and businesses in presenting the top honours at the 2007 Kent Teacher of the Year Awards in July. With just a week before the close of nominations Mrs Allinson urged KM readers to propose teaching professionals that had left a powerful and positive impression on their children. She said: “It is so important that the hard work and dedication of teachers in Kent is recognised and that we celebrate the vital contribution these special people make to our community.” It is easy to nominate a primary or secondary teacher for the awards.
