Kentish Express Ashford & District - - OPINION -

DEFENCE QC Sasha Wass said that Sparks’ offending in his 20s could have been linked to a serious road accident he had when a teenager. He had to learn to walk again, suffered from depression and was left immature and drawn to people younger than him. Sparks panicked and fled the country when he was due to stand trial in 1996. Miss Wass said: “For the last 10 years he has been waiting to be arrested. He knew it was inevitable.”
