Leicester Square premier for film
A FILM made in Folkestone will be showcased at festivals this summer.
I Remember Him is a thoughtprovoking tale about domestic violence.
It explores the life of a husband who beats and cheats on his wife, before losing his memory, and his family have to learn to live with a completely different man.
Director of photography Giles Boulton comes from Folkestone and was therefore able to direct the team to lesser known parts of the district to great effect.
Producer Kiaran Sim, from MK Productions, said: “We knew we wanted the film to be shot by the coast and we like the vibe in Folkestone.
“The scenery is very beautiful and we have got some very nice shots. That sold it to us.
“We are in talks with Shepway District Council about having a premier in the town as well as in Leicester Square.”
It stars actor Brian Bovell, who is currently playing the character Leo Valentine in the Channel 4 show Hollyoaks.
During their visit, the team stayed at the Garden Lodge guest house in Densole.
Stephanie Cooper, from the guest house, has a small role in the film.
Actors Brian Bovel, Isaiah Winder and Ioa Gyllensten
