Pupils should be hired

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - SIGNING UP -

SIR Alan Sugar could find his apprentice by visiting a Folkestone school. Pupils have been setting up their own companies. One has done so well it has won a place in the Kent finals of a young enterprise competition. The company is called Star Inspirations and is made up of Stacey Cann, Laura Kennedy, Jayde Wren, Susan Batchelor, Alice Catt, Nicola Rowland, Sarah Cobb, Cassandra Stickland, Tejaswi Gaire, Baivab Khadka and Rebecca Robinson from Folkestone School for Girls. The group set up a limited company and sought financial backing. They designed, made and sold handmade cards and won the Shepway area competition. The county finals are to be held at the University of Kent in Canterbury.
