And the names she came up with were not familiar to me – Chris or Christopher or Christian, Patrick, Peter. But she added these names will come to mean something DESPITE being somewhat cynical, I decided to give Yvette the benefit of the doubt and let her give me a reading. She took a piece of my jewellery to pick up my vibes, asked my age, and got me to shuffle some tarot cards. Yvette immediately picked up on the fact that November was an important month for me – it’s my birthday and that of other family members – and that I was in a strong relationship – I moved in with my boyfriend a few months back. She asked me if I, or someone close to me, owned a blue car – my boyfriend has a blue Clio which used to be mine – and had I ever owned a red car. My first car was red. But thinking about this rationally, I would guess 90 per cent of the population could find a pretty strong link to a red or blue car. to me in the future, so we will have to wait and see. She told me lots of changes are in store for me this year, but I imagine that could be said of most 26-year-olds who are establishing a career for themselves and deciding what they want from life. I can expect changes at work – but then newspaper offices are notorious places for comings and goings. She did pick up on some accurate character attributes, such as the fact I worry about making the most of life, and I often keep my cards close to my chest. I am also destined for a leadership role on a woman’s magazine, which sounds pretty good! Fingers crossed ...
