Tools stolen in overnight raid

PO­LICE are warn­ing van own­ers not to leave tools in their ve­hi­cles af­ter an overnight raid when a num­ber of items were stolen in Wa­ter­mead Close, Ash­ford.

Be­tween 5.30pm on Satur­day, May 19, and 9am the fol­low­ing morn­ing two Makita drills, and an orange Pa­solode nail gun were stolen from a van.

Po­lice are also ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses af­ter a 14year-old boy had his mo­bile phone stolen in Ceme­tery Lane, Ken­ning­ton just be­fore mid­night on Fri­day, May 18.

The teenager and a friend were walk­ing close to the phar­macy near By­brook Road when two men passed them. One then put his hand around the boy’s neck and took his phone be­fore they ran off down By­brook Road.

The boy was un­hurt but the blue and sil­ver Sam­sung model E720 phone is still miss­ing.
