A SHOP­KEEPER is of­fer­ing the chance for an Ash­ford or­gan­i­sa­tion to trans­form an amenity in the town. Ash­ford’s Floors-2-Go store man­ager Nigel Mor­ris said: “Due to lack of fund­ing many lo­cal ameni­ties can fall into dis­re­pair and with this in mind we are of­fer­ing to sup­ply brand new lam­i­nate floor­ing to the most de­serv­ing or­gan­i­sa­tion in Ash­ford.” Res­i­dents wish­ing to sug­gest an amenity should send a 200-word pro­posal, in­clud­ing room di­men­sions and con­tact de­tails, to Floors-2Go Ash­ford Com­pe­ti­tion, Com­mu­ni­ca­tions House, High­lands Road, Soli­hull, B90 4WE. The clos­ing date is 30 June 2007. In­de­cent ex­po­sure ASH­FORD po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses af­ter a man in­de­cently ex­posed him­self to two young girls. The 12-year-olds were play­ing in a wooded area of Vic­to­ria Park, Jem­mett Road, at about 1.15pm on Satur­day, April, when a man ex­posed him­self. He is de­scribed as fat, aged 35 to 40, with short dark brown hair, 5ft 8in and was wear­ing a red T-shirt with lo­gos on it and dark blue jog­ging bot­toms and white train­ers.
