Fast-flowing sounds with Electric River

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - SOUNDS GOOD -

WITH strong melodies, sharp lyrics, driving rhythms and angry guitars, Electric River is a recipe for hard-hitting original live music. The energetic force of this four-piece outfit creates an unforgettable live act, raising roofs in countless venues. When they played at the Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury, earlier this year, it was a sell-out and the local unsigned band also came fourth nationally in the 3firstcutawards competition. Electric River will be playing a selection of their own music when they return to the Gulbenkian on Saturday to launch their new CD. Tickets £7 from the Gulbenkian box office or book online at www.gulbenkiantheatre.co.uk The gig is part of the University’s ArtsFest, which takes place on the campus from 2pm on Saturday. The festival will end with a free firework display at 10.15pm.
