PUPILS at Ashford’s North School celebrated the Paralympic handover to London 2012 by formally agreeing to support disabled sport values. Head boy Michael Gill, head girl Chantelle Davies and senior sports ambassadors Nathan Cornelius and Jade Grimshaw officially signed up to the values on behalf of the student body with head teacher Lesley Ellis. Pupils across the school were offered a number of activities in different subjects to get an understanding of how it might feel carrying out everyday tasks with a disability. Students also participated in Paralympic sports such as seated volleyball. A number of pupils also attended the official Kent handover at the Folkestone Academy where they observed students from across the county performing various pieces and witnessed the live handover from Beijing.
