Leaping into Frog Orchard

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Countryfile -

A PUBLIC open space has been renamed Frog Orchard following a special celebration. Taylor Griffiths, of East Stour Primary School, won a competition to re-name the nearby South Willesborough Orchard during a community picnic. Local children had put in suggestions for a new name and Taylor made his choice based on the area previously being known as Frog Island. The special day at the orchard, between Earlsworth Road and Herbert Road, also included a tree planting by local children. The event was organised by the Kentish Stour Countryside Project, to promote local open spaces.
