In a break from tradition, Jim invited the Club Professional to partner him against the Captain Geoff Mitchell.
However, Geoff brought in Chrissie Kemsley from the ladies, Junior Captain Terry Eady, Head Greenkeeper Gary Branchett, Steward Ray Henry and Victor Pilipovic, Keith and Kevin Steele and Stuart Pearson as well as secret weapon Peter Mitchell, this year’s Welsh Senior Open Champion, to be his partner.
This top pair easily disposed of Jim and Kyle 4 & 3. Geoff Bracher and Peter Knott and Tony Walker and Roger Withey, of the Past Captains, managed to tie their games.
