Get-to­gether marks 30 years

PAST and present mem­bers of St Mary’s Great Chart Ladies’ Group met again for a 30th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tion.

Among those at­tend­ing was Jo But­ler, who founded the group in Septem­ber 1978.

The oc­ca­sion also brought to­gether three past and present Great Chart rec­tors, whose min­istries col­lec­tively span the Ladies’ Group’s ex­is­tence.

Th­ese were Mrs But­ler’s hus­band Michael, rec­tor un­til 1986, his suc­ces­sor the Rev Alan Davis and the Rev Tim Wil­son, who has been rec­tor since 2003.

With them were their wives Pat Davis and Cather­ine Wil­son.

St Mary’s Great Chart Ladies’ Group is a church­linked so­cial group, which meets twice monthly.

Mem­bers en­joy ac­tiv­i­ties such as cof­fee evenings, fund-rais­ing events, quiz nights, out­ings and vis­it­ing speak­ers.
