Channel challenge will help charity
A HIGH Halden woman is to swim the equivalent of the Channel for the national spinal cord injury charity Aspire. Hannah Sterling, 24, who works as a personal trainer, is taking part for the first time in the Aspire Channel Swim where participants have to swim 22 miles over a 12-week period. Miss Sterling, who suffers from scoliosis, a curvature of the spine, will be undertaking the challenge at the Green Health Club in Charing. This year’s Aspire Channel Swim, the UK’s largest annual sponsored swimming event, aims to raise £500,000 to help those who suffer from spinal cord injuries.
