Chan­nel chal­lenge will help char­ity

A HIGH Halden woman is to swim the equiv­a­lent of the Chan­nel for the na­tional spinal cord in­jury char­ity As­pire. Han­nah Ster­ling, 24, who works as a per­sonal trainer, is tak­ing part for the first time in the As­pire Chan­nel Swim where par­tic­i­pants have to swim 22 miles over a 12-week pe­riod. Miss Ster­ling, who suf­fers from sco­l­io­sis, a cur­va­ture of the spine, will be un­der­tak­ing the chal­lenge at the Green Health Club in Char­ing. This year’s As­pire Chan­nel Swim, the UK’s largest an­nual spon­sored swim­ming event, aims to raise £500,000 to help those who suf­fer from spinal cord in­juries.
