KING of the Jun­gle Christo­pher Big­gins was among those who at­tended a fund-rais­ing ball at Port Lympne. The event was held in the man­sion and raised more than £70,000 for go­ril­las in the wild and other as­so­ci­ated con­ser­va­tion projects. Other guests in­cluded co­me­dian Vic Reeves and his wife Nancy Sor­rell, ex-Kent crick­eter Chris Cow­drey, Kent busi­ness­man Stu­art Wheeler and the chair­man of the Aspinall Foun­da­tion, James Os­borne.
