Owner’s heart­felt plea to trace miss­ing horse

A DES­PER­ATE horse owner is ap­peal­ing for help to try and find her an­i­mal af­ter it dis­ap­peared from a field.

Con­cerned Mandy Gard­ner bought the horse back in the sum­mer af­ter spot­ting the an­i­mal looking ill in a field at the War­ren in Char­ing.

Miss Gard­ner said: “Once I found the owner I man­aged to buy it from him, then and there.”

But when she re­turned the fol­low­ing day to col­lect the horse it had gone miss­ing.

The dis­ap­pear­ance was re­ported to the po­lice and de­spite ex­ten­sive in­quiries by of­fi­cers and Miss Gard­ner the horse still has not been found.

Miss Gard­ner said: “It could have just been some­one with a kind heart who wanted to res­cue the horse like I did.

“A vet may well have seen the horse, as it needed a good check over.”

The mare is 15 hands high, with a white fet­lock on one of its hind legs.
