Rhythm and rhyme come alive

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Roundabout - by James Lawrenson

LITERARY heroes old and young filled the corridors of Stowting Church of England Primary School during book week. On Thursday the whole school came in dressed as their favourite book characters, including many Harry Potters, a Robin Hood and an Anne Frank. Even head teacher Susan Cox joined in the fun dressed as a dalmatian. Rhythm and rhyme was the theme, with each class producing a book of poetry to share with the rest of the school. Other events included a big quiz, with children racing to find answers to the 36 questions hidden around the building. Mrs Pauline Dickinson, teacher of Years 5 and 6, said: “We had a fantastic time with book week, and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
