Fi­nan­cial ad­viser wins award

BOB Perry, di­rec­tor of CWP Fi­nan­cial Ser­vices Lim­ited, has been pre­sented with the Jonathon Timms Memo­rial Prize for 2008 at the In­sti­tute of Fi­nan­cial Plan­ning an­nual con­fer­ence in South Wales.

The award is given to the can­di­date who has pro­duced the best fi­nan­cial plan to qual­ify as a cer­ti­fied fi­nan­cial plan­ner which is re­garded the most rel­e­vant qual­i­fi­ca­tion for In­de­pen­dent Fi­nan­cial Ad­vis­ers.

Mr Perry’s com­pany has been based in the cen­tre of Ash­ford since 2001 and con­cen­trates on ad­vis­ing clients on in­vest­ment, pen­sion and long term care plan­ning. Dur­ing th­ese trou­bled times they have never been busier.

He said: “The un­cer­tainty brings op­por­tu­ni­ties for direc­tors of fi­nance ser­vices like me to help many in­di­vid­u­als and firms face the chal­lenges ahead.”

Mr Perry and his co-di­rec­tor Paul Cobb have more than 50 years of ex­pe­ri­ence be­tween them as in­de­pen­dent fi­nan­cial ad­vis­ers.

Out­side work he is heav­ily in­volved with the Ro­tary Club of Ash­ford and Ash­ford Rugby Club.
