BROM­LEY GREEN fell to tenth in the Premier Divi­sion of the Van­danel Kent County League, af­ter los­ing 2-1 at Rusthall. Ryan Nor­man was on the score sheet again for Green.

In Divi­sion One, Kevin Ben­nett scored all four of Lydd Town’s goals dur­ing their 4-2 victory against Ken­ning­ton.

Chris Watts and Steve Rice replied for the vis­i­tors.

New Rom­ney moved up to fourth with a 2-0 win at base­ment club Oak­wood. Richard Boor­man and Joe Valler were the New Rom­ney scor­ers.

Ten­ter­den Town pro­duced a su­perb come­back to draw 3-3 with Dart­ford’s Lanes End, in Divi­sion 3.

Trail­ing 3-1 with five min­utes re­main­ing, de­spite open­ing the scor­ing through Si­mon Bourne, a Winfield penalty and a last ditched Matt Tomkins strike earned Town a point.

Ken­ning­ton lost 4-0 at home to Bearsted in the first round of the Re­serve Di­vi­sions Cup.

There was no luck for the lo­cal sides in the first round of the Kent Ju­nior Cup ei­ther, as Brom­ley Green Re­serves lost 5-1 at home to Malgo and Lydd Town Re­serves lost 4-1 at Sturry.

Ash­ford League

ASH­FORD district teams per­formed well in the Kent Ju­nior Cup .

There were vic­to­ries for Hope Inn 9-3 at Chil­ham Res, Lanterns over­came Ocean 9-0, Willes­bor­ough Crick­eters beat lo­cal ri­vals Ash­ford Bor­ough 1-0 and Rol­ven­den swamped St Lawrence Res 13-2.

Billy Weir net­ted three for the Hope and also on tar­get were Marc Des­bor­ough (2), Rhys Talor Ryall, Jace Demp­ster, Dan Fal­coner and Jamie Tom­sett.

Two goals each from Dar­ren Winfield and Joe Cul­shaw lifted Lanterns who also had John Smith, James Gib­son, Lee Mar­jo­ram and sub Lee Rad­ford on tar­get.

In the Ash­ford League premier divi­sion two goals each from Char­lie Pot­ter and Brett Mon­crieff plus one from Shaun Red­man saw Bethers­den win 5-3 at Lydd A.

Lydd replied through Ricky Ben­ham, a Rus­sell Strong screamer and Matt Flight and Paul An­der­son saved a Bethers­den penalty.

In Divi­sion 1 Adam Ewell and Guy Farmer notched hat-tricks as River­side over­came Ruckinge 7-2 with the other goals net­ted by Adam Mans­field.

Wood­church won 3-0 at The Ship with strikes by Dun­can Kilford, Paul Al­lan and Stu­art Al­lan to main­tain their lead at the top.

New Rom­ney Re­serves lost ground, los­ing 4-2 at fel­low chal­lengers Wit­ter­sham who had Luke White, James Head and two from Billy Hilden on tar­get.
