Flying high… Fame beckons for young stars
ASHFORD and Folkestone-based Showbiz Academy is once again proving its reputation for producing future stars.
The performing arts school was established in 1999 and its principal Rachel Dickson has a host of young talent tipped for the top.
Among them is Crisi Peters, 19, from Kennington, who has landed the lead role of Wendy in the pantomime Peter Pan at the Epsom Playhouse Theatre.
Steven Harwood Brown, 15, from Folkestone, has just finished filming Law & Order, the British version of the long-running US series, which is due to be screened next spring.
Harvey Scopes, 10, from Ashford, will be a pirate in a production of Treasure Island at the Brook Theatre, Chatham, this Christmas, and 10 academy pupils will be taking part in various local pantomimes.
The academy will be staging its own show on Sunday at the Woodville Halls Theatre in Gravesend.
