Fly­ing high… Fame beck­ons for young stars

ASH­FORD and Folke­stone-based Show­biz Academy is once again prov­ing its rep­u­ta­tion for pro­duc­ing fu­ture stars.

The per­form­ing arts school was es­tab­lished in 1999 and its prin­ci­pal Rachel Dick­son has a host of young tal­ent tipped for the top.

Among them is Crisi Peters, 19, from Ken­ning­ton, who has landed the lead role of Wendy in the pan­tomime Peter Pan at the Ep­som Play­house The­atre.

Steven Har­wood Brown, 15, from Folke­stone, has just fin­ished film­ing Law & Or­der, the Bri­tish ver­sion of the long-run­ning US se­ries, which is due to be screened next spring.

Har­vey Scopes, 10, from Ash­ford, will be a pi­rate in a pro­duc­tion of Trea­sure Is­land at the Brook The­atre, Chatham, this Christ­mas, and 10 academy pupils will be tak­ing part in var­i­ous lo­cal pan­tomimes.

The academy will be stag­ing its own show on Sun­day at the Woodville Halls The­atre in Gravesend.
