Squirrels are busy in garden
THE Ashford branch of Sainsbury’s has chosen the pupils of Challock Primary School as pioneers of its ‘Plant it, Grow it, Eat it’ project.
Last week the school was presented with a bag full of gardening equipment suitable for the youngsters to start to grow their own fruit and vegetables both at school and at home.
Pupils in Squirrel class were given the kit as they will be the project pioneers.
Head teacher Sue Petrie, said: “The children are excited about growing and then eating their own produce and are also going to be able to use the tools to keep our Hampton Court winning Literacy Garden neat and tidy as well.”
