Bliby build on whirlwind start
THE all-Ashford clash in the Premier Cup saw Bliby run out 6-3 winners at Aldington.
Bliby got off to a whirlwind start and shot into a three goal lead before half-time, and although Aldington kept pegging them back they were always chasing the game.
On target for Bliby were Paul Burt with a hat-trick, James Pearcy (2) and Pat Kingwell while Martin Breen, Aaron Slann and Brett Moncrief replied for Aldington.
Brewmaster bowed out to FC Sporto, after drawing 1-1. With extra time failing to separate them, it went down to penalties with Brews going down 7-6.
Justin Light netted the match time goal. Bromley Green also went out, going down 3-2 away to Buffalo, Terry Perk and Tom Poyner on target for Green.
Kennington had a fine 4-2 win away to Artois; the marksmen were Ollie Finch with a hat-trick and one from Dan Barham.
Kent Sunday Junior Cup
In the Junior Cup Bromley Green Reserves went down 6-4 away to Locomotive from Maidstone, Jason Thomas with two and one each from Darrell Hagger and Dan Jackson.
Egerton went out 1-0 away to Coxheath but Mersham had no trouble with Invicta Sun winning 7-1; Robbie Clark and Craig Mannering with two each and one each from Seb Arnold, Martin Stevens and Paul Brassington.
The Crusader lost 2-1 at Lashings, Aly Aydin on target and Ashford Eagles were no match for Insulators, going down 10-0.
Red Heathens went down 7-0 to another local side Galacticos who had Steve Rice and Tommy Lockett on target with a brace each, and one each from Russell Woods, James Hamilton and Mark Kerry.
Lydd were comfortable 5-0 winners at home to Wingham, man of the match Andy Bennett leading the way with a hat-trick and one each for Ricky Bingham and Martin Button.
Grasshoppers were held to a 1-1 draw by Hawkes FC, Mark Welsted on target before losing 5-4 on penalties. Wye Monarchs crashed out 6-0 at home to Appledore who had Richard Foster, Toby Willis, Darren Smith, Tyler Clarkson, Bill Readman and an OG on the score sheet.
Bocca go through after beating Crosskeys 5-1, evergreen Jeff Ross netting a brace and one each from Sam Beal, Kerry Kelly and Martin Budkewicz.
Churchill Royals had a good 5-0 win way to Larkfield, Iain Fel- lows with a glorious hat-trick and one each for Chris Shanney and Leighton Kennedy.
Kent Sunday Junior Cup
In the Junior Trophy the two all-Ashford games saw Brewmaster Reserves win 4-1 away to William Harvey Inn and Shadoxhurst won 3-2 at Ruckinge.
Danny Trapp scored a hat-trick and Simon Bourne one for Brews, Lee Hope replying for Harvey.
Chris Mansfield was on target for Ruckinge but two from Stuart Prior and one for Andy Hone saw Shadoxhurst through.
Mersham Reserves won 6-2 at home against Royal Oak with Jim Wareing having a brace and one each from David Bailey, Dean Coulson, Andy Stevens and Richard Baker.
Burton Grove also go through after beating Pembury 3rd 6-0, James Ross with a hat-trick and one each from John Honey, Dean Metcalf and Justin Day.
Ashford Victoria had a fine 3-2 win over Maidstone side Holtwood, Wayne Cleave with two and one from Darren Patterson.
Bethersden narrowly beat neighbours Troggs 2-1, Tom Ripley and Shane Sims for Bethersden and Andy Underdown on the mark for Smarden.
Ashford Dynamo chalked up their first win of the season with a 3-2 win away to Fox Sunday, Bernard Dzikiti putting Dynamo ahead on the stroke of half-time.
Pete Gladwin levelled things up midway through the second half, Joe Slater and Luke Walder put Dynamo further ahead only for Paul Waldner to pull one back for Fox late on.
Hamstreet took all three points in their home game against Market Hotel Reserves with a 4-1 win, Aaron McGuiness with two and one each from Ross Ketley and Darren Warburton; Ben Robbins replying for Market.
Highfield continue to go well with a 3-1 home win over Charing, Lloyd Dehara, Darrell Statham and Jonty Wernter for Highfield, Dan Reynolds for Charing.
Both Ashford Cavaliers Reserves and Park Farm Rangers continue to go well.
Cavaliers did a demolition job on Man of Kent, wining 11-1 with Matt Gomez and Stuart Reaks leading the way with four each. Doug Robson added a couple and one from Michael Perry, Ben Bean for Man of Kent.
Park Farm Rangers turned over Brabourne 8-0, Kevin Oakley with a hat-trick, two for J.J. Pye and one each from Paul Spears and Grant Langfield.
Bliby Reserves recorded their first win of the season, winning 3-1 away to Ashford Spartans, Matt Jackson with a brace and one from James Ripley, Jim Beeching on target for Spartans.
Prince Albert went down 3-2 at home to Wye Monarchs Reserves, Andrew Millen and Gary Kerry for Albert, Clive Adorisio, Lee Hughes and Robbie Ovenden for Wye.
Charing Reserves won 3-1 at home to Highfield Reserves, Dan Best with a couple and one from John Marchant, Nigel Hilden Jnr replying for Highfield.
ASHFORD Spartans have been hit by injuries and need a couple of experienced defenders to boost their squad.
