Bliby build on whirl­wind start

THE all-Ash­ford clash in the Premier Cup saw Bliby run out 6-3 win­ners at Ald­ing­ton.

Bliby got off to a whirl­wind start and shot into a three goal lead be­fore half-time, and al­though Ald­ing­ton kept peg­ging them back they were al­ways chas­ing the game.

On tar­get for Bliby were Paul Burt with a hat-trick, James Pearcy (2) and Pat King­well while Martin Breen, Aaron Slann and Brett Mon­crief replied for Ald­ing­ton.

Brew­mas­ter bowed out to FC Sporto, af­ter draw­ing 1-1. With ex­tra time fail­ing to sep­a­rate them, it went down to penal­ties with Brews go­ing down 7-6.

Justin Light net­ted the match time goal. Brom­ley Green also went out, go­ing down 3-2 away to Buf­falo, Terry Perk and Tom Poyner on tar­get for Green.

Ken­ning­ton had a fine 4-2 win away to Ar­tois; the marks­men were Ol­lie Finch with a hat-trick and one from Dan Barham.

Kent Sun­day Ju­nior Cup

In the Ju­nior Cup Brom­ley Green Re­serves went down 6-4 away to Lo­co­mo­tive from Maid­stone, Ja­son Thomas with two and one each from Dar­rell Hag­ger and Dan Jack­son.

Eger­ton went out 1-0 away to Cox­heath but Mer­sham had no trou­ble with In­victa Sun winning 7-1; Rob­bie Clark and Craig Man­ner­ing with two each and one each from Seb Arnold, Martin Stevens and Paul Brass­ing­ton.

The Cru­sader lost 2-1 at Lash­ings, Aly Ay­din on tar­get and Ash­ford Ea­gles were no match for In­su­la­tors, go­ing down 10-0.

Red Hea­thens went down 7-0 to an­other lo­cal side Galac­ti­cos who had Steve Rice and Tommy Lock­ett on tar­get with a brace each, and one each from Rus­sell Woods, James Hamil­ton and Mark Kerry.

Lydd were comfortable 5-0 win­ners at home to Wing­ham, man of the match Andy Ben­nett lead­ing the way with a hat-trick and one each for Ricky Bing­ham and Martin But­ton.

Grasshop­pers were held to a 1-1 draw by Hawkes FC, Mark Wel­sted on tar­get be­fore los­ing 5-4 on penal­ties. Wye Monar­chs crashed out 6-0 at home to Ap­ple­dore who had Richard Foster, Toby Willis, Dar­ren Smith, Tyler Clark­son, Bill Read­man and an OG on the score sheet.

Bocca go through af­ter beat­ing Crosskeys 5-1, ev­er­green Jeff Ross net­ting a brace and one each from Sam Beal, Kerry Kelly and Martin Bud­kewicz.

Churchill Roy­als had a good 5-0 win way to Lark­field, Iain Fel- lows with a glo­ri­ous hat-trick and one each for Chris Shan­ney and Leighton Kennedy.

Kent Sun­day Ju­nior Cup

In the Ju­nior Tro­phy the two all-Ash­ford games saw Brew­mas­ter Re­serves win 4-1 away to William Har­vey Inn and Sha­dox­hurst won 3-2 at Ruckinge.

Danny Trapp scored a hat-trick and Si­mon Bourne one for Brews, Lee Hope re­ply­ing for Har­vey.

Chris Mans­field was on tar­get for Ruckinge but two from Stu­art Prior and one for Andy Hone saw Sha­dox­hurst through.

Mer­sham Re­serves won 6-2 at home against Royal Oak with Jim Ware­ing hav­ing a brace and one each from David Bai­ley, Dean Coul­son, Andy Stevens and Richard Baker.

Bur­ton Grove also go through af­ter beat­ing Pem­bury 3rd 6-0, James Ross with a hat-trick and one each from John Honey, Dean Met­calf and Justin Day.

Ash­ford Vic­to­ria had a fine 3-2 win over Maid­stone side Holt­wood, Wayne Cleave with two and one from Dar­ren Pat­ter­son.

Premier Divi­sion

Bethers­den nar­rowly beat neigh­bours Troggs 2-1, Tom Ri­p­ley and Shane Sims for Bethers­den and Andy Un­der­down on the mark for Smar­den.

Divi­sion One

Ash­ford Dy­namo chalked up their first win of the sea­son with a 3-2 win away to Fox Sun­day, Bernard Dzik­iti putting Dy­namo ahead on the stroke of half-time.

Pete Glad­win lev­elled things up mid­way through the sec­ond half, Joe Slater and Luke Walder put Dy­namo fur­ther ahead only for Paul Wald­ner to pull one back for Fox late on.

Ham­street took all three points in their home game against Mar­ket Ho­tel Re­serves with a 4-1 win, Aaron McGui­ness with two and one each from Ross Ket­ley and Dar­ren War­bur­ton; Ben Rob­bins re­ply­ing for Mar­ket.

High­field con­tinue to go well with a 3-1 home win over Char­ing, Lloyd De­hara, Dar­rell Statham and Jonty Wern­ter for High­field, Dan Reynolds for Char­ing.

Divi­sion Four

Both Ash­ford Cava­liers Re­serves and Park Farm Rangers con­tinue to go well.

Cava­liers did a de­mo­li­tion job on Man of Kent, win­ing 11-1 with Matt Gomez and Stu­art Reaks lead­ing the way with four each. Doug Rob­son added a cou­ple and one from Michael Perry, Ben Bean for Man of Kent.

Park Farm Rangers turned over Brabourne 8-0, Kevin Oak­ley with a hat-trick, two for J.J. Pye and one each from Paul Spears and Grant Lang­field.

Bliby Re­serves recorded their first win of the sea­son, winning 3-1 away to Ash­ford Spar­tans, Matt Jack­son with a brace and one from James Ri­p­ley, Jim Beech­ing on tar­get for Spar­tans.

Prince Al­bert went down 3-2 at home to Wye Monar­chs Re­serves, An­drew Millen and Gary Kerry for Al­bert, Clive Adori­sio, Lee Hughes and Rob­bie Oven­den for Wye.

Char­ing Re­serves won 3-1 at home to High­field Re­serves, Dan Best with a cou­ple and one from John Marchant, Nigel Hilden Jnr re­ply­ing for High­field.

ASH­FORD Spar­tans have been hit by in­juries and need a cou­ple of ex­pe­ri­enced de­fend­ers to boost their squad.
