Smart cadets pass their test

ASH­FORD Air Cadets 305 squadron held its an­nual in­spec­tion on Sun­day. Ma­jor Tony Finch of 133 work­shop com­pany REME TA was the re­view­ing of­fi­cer for the pa­rade held at the TA cen­tre in Chart Road. With more than 40 cadets on pa­rade the day was a great suc­cess, with the many guests im­pressed with the smart turnout. Af­ter the in­spec­tion they were treated to some out­stand­ing dis­plays by the squadron’s band and con­ti­nu­ity drill squad. Dur­ing the pa­rade Ma­jor Finch pre­sented the fol­low­ing awards: Best at­ten­dance: Char­lotte Long and Emma Hamp­shire; best exam re­sults: James Wil­liams; most im­proved shot: Stu­art Barnes; best shot: Jamie Wil­liams; best new bands­man: Scott Dou­glas; most im­proved bands­man: Ethan Jull; best bands­men: Char­lotte Long and Yo­gen­dra Sunuwar; en­deav­our: Alex Pro­drick; best sports per­son: Dal­itso Epu­lani; par­tic­i­pa­tion in squadron events: Lakpa Sherpa; par­tic­i­pa­tion in Corps events: Ja­cob Jull; best new cadet: Scott Dou­glas; best cadet: Jamie Gil­bert; best NCO: Mar­tyna Ree­son; cadets of the year: Kenny Kerr and Alex Pea­cock. Cadets Jamie Gil­bert and Kenny Kerr were also pro­moted to cor­po­ral.
