System is causing delays across town

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Opinion -

HAVEN’T the people of Ashford suffered enough with the traffic chaos? What with the mess that the two-way traffic system created, surely the instigator of that idea should have been given a knighthood or a large pay out to move on. He should be in the pay of the petrol companies for all the extra fuel that is being used to get around Ashford! And with the pollution that the traffic light queues are causing, we must have a good covering over the town. Why no roundabouts that let traffic flow when roads are clear, instead of waiting for a light to change? And now we have the traffic lights once again in Brookfield Road. I waited 18 minutes in the queue just to pass them. What is wrong with having a diversion? Traffic from Chart Road could turn left into Clockhouse, continue into Arlington and then turn left at the Crusader. The traffic could flow on a oneway system. P.J. Jackson, Meadowbrook Close, Kennington, Ashford.
