Running takes place of smoking
STEVE Budd, 47, has recently replaced smoking with running and now plans to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
He is working towards a halfmarathon, in memory of his sister Sue who died of breast cancer three years ago.
This will take place on Sunday, March 8, in Lydd. Several 10km runs have also been organised before the big day, including one in Ashford next February.
Mr Budd, fromAshford, said: “I have never done anything like this before but am determined to finish the Lydd half-marathon for Sue. After I gave up smoking I put on weight but thanks to running I have now dropped two stone. Macmillan were a fantastic source of support.”
