Re­sound­ing win eases Bells clear

TWO BELLS con­tin­ued their un­beaten start to the Hythe, Folke­stone and District Sun­day League, Divi­sion 1 sea­son by in­flict­ing a first de­feat of the cam­paign on sec­ond-placed Fal­cons. The ta­ble-top­pers’ re­sound­ing 8-2 victory was bet­tered only by Golden Ar­row, who ham­mered Hawkinge by a sea­son-high 12-0. Essem­bee won 7-1 against AFC Lanterns to record their sec­ond win of the year, Red Cow beat Gate Ath­letic 6-2 and CMM Sports took a walkover against a noshow­ing Har­vey’s. In Divi­sion 2, Swing­field got back to winning ways af­ter their 2-2 draw with Globe last week, by beat­ing AFC Guild­hall 5-1. Mag­pies re­main un­de­feated in sec­ond fol­low­ing a 9-0 victory over Lyminge. Vasa moved up to third af­ter a fourth straight league win, 4-1 against Guild­hall. Hythe RBL sit fourth on goal dif­fer­ence af­ter a 2-1 suc­cess against Hawks. Re­fresh­ers Bar are up to fifth af­ter two wins in two weeks against Lyminge and The Of­fice. Fresh from last week’s draw with Swing­field, Globe won for the first time this sea­son, 3-2, against Oddfel­lows AVS.
