CHERI­TON and Sellindge skit­tled through El­ham Val­ley B to win the first of three Divi­sion 2 matches played in the KCB Folke­stone 6-a-side League spon­sored by Jimmy God­den. Ka­van Risby scored 28 as El­ham bat­ted first but he en­joyed lit­tle sup­port as a slow start be­came a slow in­nings of 74 all out. Stu­art Cook and Ryan Hall claimed a pair of wick­ets each, be­fore Hall reached 27 with the bat. Mark Relf added 20 for Cheri­ton as they won with five overs spare. In the sec­ond match, Etch­inghill bowled out new­com­ers Salt­wood for 57. Ben John­son and Kar­tik Twari took two wick­ets each and with Miles Per­rin lead­ing the re­ply with a quick­fire 18, Salt­wood were dis­missed with four overs left. In the fi­nal match, Sibton Park B lost to Stowt­ing de­spite Sibton reach­ing 109 all out. Gareth Mears scored 36, Jamie Keeler 24 and Scott Daugh­ters 24, while Mark Jack­son took 2-33. Stowt­ing raced to 102-2 in the ninth over, with victory in their grasp, when three quick wick­ets left them tee­ter­ing on the edge of de­feat. Mark Jack­son scored 31 and held his nerve to lead Stowt­ing home with three balls to spare. Jamie Keeler and Dan Lodge each claimed two wick­ets. Folke­stone B were left without an op­po­nent when Hawkinge failed to show up.
