Envoy Val Barkley is looking forward to delivering gifts to the needy as part of the annual Caring for Christmas appeal, which the Kentish Express and Superdrug are supporting. People are being invited to donate gifts to either business – the KE office in North Street (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday only) and Superdrug in County Square – which will then be collected by the Salvation Army and distributed. Val said: “It is such a nice feeling when you give things to people who wouldn’t normally have anything for Christmas – especially when you see the children’s faces.”
