POLICE are hunting a man who threatened a couple in Kennington with a knife.

The incident happened in Bybrook Road shortly after 4am on Sunday.

A 27-year-old woman was waiting with a male friend for a taxi to collect her outside a block of flats.

Two men approached and spoke to them aggressively before walking off.

Shortly afterwards the men returned, brandishing a knife. No one was injured and the couple were not robbed.

When the taxi arrived and the woman got in and it drove off, the offenders left the area.
