A CHAMPAGNE cork was popped to celebrate the completion of the refit of the Shopmobility Unit in the County Square shopping centre. Shopmobility bosses Brian Strange and Trevor Measday shared a champagne breakfast with members of the Ashford Construction Focus Group (ACFG), which donated time and materials for the refit worth £35,000. Albert Walton, chairman of the ACFG, said: “The focus group was set up to ensure local construction businesses have the opportunity of competing for local projects, but with this particular project some of the members have invested significant amounts of time and money to support this worthy cause.”
