Spartans pull off cup upset

ASHFORD Spartans pulled off the shock of the round by winning 3-1 at Aldington Reserves, who are going well in the division above them.
Ben Hearnden and Paul Hunt put Spartans two up before Kevin Ruane pulled one back for the hosts only for Liam Edmonds to wrap it up for Spartans.
Brabourne also caused a surprise when they won 3-1 at home to highflying Ashford Cavaliers Reserves.
Matt Gomez put Cavaliers ahead before Rob Tanner, with a brace, and Nick Hickmott scored the goals that put Brabourne into the last 16.
Locomotive Inn edged out Highfield Resreves 5-4 with Sean Wallace (3), Dan Glover (2) on target. Paul Biggs (2), Paul Hughes and man-of-the-match Mark Lee replied for Highfield.
Ruckinge United went through after beating Mersham Reserves 1-0, Barry Pithers with the only goal of the game.
Man of Kent went out 2-1 to William Harvey Inn with Jordon Wing’s solitary effort being outweighed by goals from Charlie Fitzgerald and Craig Davies. IN THE match of the day, Appledore knocked out Galacticos 3-1 after extratime. Paul Anning put Dors ahead only for Tommy Lockett to level things up and take the game into extra-time.
Paul Luff put Dors back in front from the penalty spot before Paul Giles completed the scoring.
Egerton (Richard Tubbs and Jos Conlon) were edged out 3-2 by Bromley Green Reserves, for whom Lee Bloxham (2) and an own goal made up the tally.
Churchill Royals booked their semi-final place with a 3-2 win at Grasshoppers. Ryan Smith and Iain Fellows put Churchill two up before Matt Harris and Gary Webster put Grasshoppers back on level terms only for Chris Shanney to score the winner in the last few minutes.
The Albion make up the semi-final quartet after winning 3-0 at Ashford Eagles. Kevin Quinn grabbed a brace with Calum McKenzie also on target. THE one game produced goals galore with Troggs winning 7-4 against Bliby, thanks to four-goal Adam Roffey and Matt Dyke, who hit a hat-trick. Richard Boorman, Joe Valler and Paul Burt (2) scored for Bliby. HIGHFIELD stay top after a 2-1 win over Bocca, Mark Lunn and Adam Bellman did the damage while Jamie Budkiwicz replied for Bocca.
Market Hotel Reserves picked up three points with a 6-2 win over Lydd. Joe Ansell led the way with a hat-trick, while Barry Beaney added a couple and there was one from Ronnie Williams.
Andy Bennett scored twice for Lydd. THE only game saw The Crusader beat Wye Monarchs 4-2 with Aly Aydin (2), Darren Holmes and an own goal making up the tally. Jos Lackra and Kieran Smith replied for Wye. NEWCHURCH chalked up their biggest win since entering the league with an 8-0 demolition job on Troggs Reserves.
Gavin Prowse scored two with the others from Jason James, Lee Jackman, Greg Hitchinson, Mason Riddle, Sam Knight and Jamie Maddocks. WYE MONARCHS Reserves and Prince Albert shared the points in a 3-3 draw. Clive Adorisio, William Cooke and James Edwards netted for Wye, Liam Dear (2) and Gary Kerry replied.
