A DED­I­CATED fundraiser who cov­ered his home in Christ­mas lights to raise cash for char­ity has died – just a week af­ter this year’s switch-on. Brian Gil­bert, 70, who an­nu­ally il­lu­mi­nated his house and gar­den for Ash­ford Pil­grims Hospice, died sud­denly on Sun­day. Now his widow Ann says the lights at their Kingsnorth home will stay on un­til New Year’s Day as a trib­ute to her hus­band and to raise as much cash for the hospice as pos­si­ble.
