Pub reopens with new name and new image
THE pub formerly known as The Fox has reopened under a different name after new owners took over earlier this year. The Fox on Hythe Road closed after a fire last October and the inside of the pub has since been completely refurbished, with the bar rebuilt. The Windmill Inn opened last week. Manager Neil Tegg said: “We want to change the whole image of the pub and make it a family friendly, community pub focusing on food.” This focus on cuisine will be led by chef Melanie Mouncfield who trained with Jamie Oliver and has worked in some of the top London restaurants.
