Pub re­opens with new name and new im­age

THE pub for­merly known as The Fox has re­opened un­der a dif­fer­ent name af­ter new own­ers took over ear­lier this year. The Fox on Hythe Road closed af­ter a fire last Oc­to­ber and the in­side of the pub has since been com­pletely re­fur­bished, with the bar re­built. The Windmill Inn opened last week. Man­ager Neil Tegg said: “We want to change the whole im­age of the pub and make it a fam­ily friendly, com­mu­nity pub fo­cus­ing on food.” This fo­cus on cui­sine will be led by chef Me­lanie Mounc­field who trained with Jamie Oliver and has worked in some of the top Lon­don restau­rants.
