Why is car crime not included?

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Opinion -

THE police recently issued crime statistics for the various regions of Ashford, with the claim that crime is highest in the town centre. Yet thousands of drivers exceed the speed limit every day in Kennington Road, Faversham Road, and Canterbury Road, which is committing a crime. Speeding constitutes antisocial behaviour, poses the greatest threat of violence, and seriously impacts on our quality of life. Why are they not included under street crime, or car crime, because they fit into both of these categories? Perhaps our town centre is not such a dangerous place to be in after all! Ted Prangnell, Kennington.
