Rid­ers spread a lit­tle cheer

MORE than 200 mo­tor­cy­cles took part in a Christ­mas toy run for sick chil­dren. The con­voy trav­elled from the Half­way House pub at Chal­lock to the William Har­vey Hospi­tal, via Char­ing. They were met by hospi­tal play spe­cial­ist Jane McReadie be­fore tak­ing the presents to the chil­dren’s ward. AHBS, the hospi­tal’s ra­dio sta­tion cov­ered Sun­day’s event with pre­sen­ters both at the start­ing point and the Har­vey it­self. The bik­ers’ toy run is or­gan­ised by Hoth­field cou­ple Brian and Eileen Johns and is now in its 14th year.
