Mor­ris tak­ing off with Big­gles play

WOOD­CHURCH Mor­ris Men are re­mind­ing pub-go­ers to be on the look­out for them this Christ­mas. The mor­ris men’s mum­mers play, Big­gles Flies Un­done, is in aid of lo­cal char­i­ties and will be staged in the fol­low­ing venues:

Sun­day, De­cem­ber 21, 8pm, The World’s Won­der, Wood­church and 9.15pm, The Bell at Ivy­church.

Mon­day, De­cem­ber 22, 8pm, The Wool­pack, Ten­ter­den and 9.15pm, The Swan at Wit­ter­sham.

Tues­day, De­cem­ber 23, 8pm, The Duke’s Head at Ham­street and 9.15pm, The Six Bells at Wood­church. The group’s Dave Com­ley said: “The tra­di­tional an­nual Box­ing Day Was­sail – Mor­ris danc­ing and singing – is now in plan­ning. “Weather de­pend­ing, and times be­ing ap­prox­i­mate, the route is: Com­mu­nity Hall, 10.30am; Rec­tory Close, 11.15am; Bonny Cra­vat, 12pm; Six Bells, 12.30pm; Wool­pack at Warehorne, 1pm; and World’s Won­der, 2pm.” For more de­tails about the plays or about be­com­ing a mem­ber of the Wood­church Mor­ris, call Mr Com­ley on 01233 860861.
