More room to train for beauty NVQs
KENT Holistic Health, based at Mersham–le-Hatch on the A20, is expanding its successful hairdressing, beauty and holistic training school and therapy centre into a newly-refurbished barn located behind the current premises.
Work on the new premises is due to be completed just before Christmas and will be open for new courses starting in January 2009.
The new premises will allow an extended range of training in addition to the present qualifications for diploma and NVQ qualifications.
This will include new day, evening and weekend workshops for those who would like to learn without qualifications.
The workshops will be available in a variety of areas including make up, nail art and manicures as well as massage courses including Indian head massage and aromatherapy, for partners and friends to attend together.
All courses will be run by fullyqualified trainers.
Hairdressing and beauty courses are supported by the Learning Skills Council for Train to Gain and Apprenticeships are also available.
The training centre has been open for three years.
It is run by Tricia Harrower who has had many years experience as a lecturer and assessor at Canterbury College, provides VTCT approved training. It boasts a friendly and relaxed environment in which to train with fully-qualified, experienced lecturers.
