What about the unfair increases?

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Opinion -

WHAT a wonderful table of “minutes saved” on the full-page Southeastern advertisement (December 11) about the new high-speed rail service. Can you please run a second table “free of charge” that shows “a £’s increase” for these fantastic new services. It is of course the Kent commuter so recently hit by the Chancellor, probably recently redundant, who will have to find the new job near St Pancras and pay the rumoured 50 per cent fare increase for these services. What sort of a topsy-turvey world do we now live in? Colin Waldron, Dexter Close, Kennington.
