Chiefs face ques­tions on health cen­tre

ASH­FORD’S new health cen­tre was dis­cussed when health chiefs came to town for a ques­tion and an­swer ses­sion.

Lead­ing mem­bers of NHS East­ern and Coastal Kent pri­mary care trust met 40 to 50 mem­bers of the pub­lic at Ash­ford’s Julie Rose Sta­dium on Tues­day last week .

One sub­ject dis­cussed was the £13 mil­lion health cen­tre on the old Ash­ford hospi­tal site at King’s Av­enue, due to open in spring 2012.

Among those an­swer­ing ques­tions were Dr John Ro­driguez, the PCT’s as­sis­tant di­rec­tor of pub­lic health, chair­man Colin Tom­son and chief ex­ec­u­tive Ann Sut­ton.
